My poor Romeo has an allergy and his belly got totally broken out -- really bad, puss, even blood. And he was obsessively licking it, making it worse. The vet wanted to give him one of those awful plastic cones -- no, no, no!!!! So, the vet sold me an overpriced onesy made of cheap material which was designed for dogs, not cats. (I'm sure the vendor told them it was for either animal. It's not. The back end, past the rear legs, went on for several inches -- so it got into the litter box mess. Horrible. I had to keep washing it in hot water, which destroyed the fabric.)I finally looked on Amazon and based on all the good reviews, got this one. Oh, what a breath of fresh air. It's cut out where it can be, so he can breath and not be so constricted. It's easy to put on (as much as putting anything on a cat can be "easy") and it is designed perfectly for a cat --- complete tummy coverage, but plenty open enough not to have any litter box accidents. Thank you!And so stylish!My only complaint is that it was not available for 1 day shipping. When you need it, you need it immediately. Maybe it normally is available quickly, but for us, this happened during the big Covid-19 scare, so all shipping is a bit slower than usual. Well, despite that, we got it in about 5 days and I'm so grateful.The fabric is soft and smooth, but feels sturdy so he probably can't wiggle out of it. The 5% spandex gives it just the right amount of stretch. The edges are finished nicely.Oh, I wish the manufacturer would add the following colors and fabrics (a big omission IMO):-- leopard print (duh, it's for cats!)-- all black (for the hipster cats)-- stripes (like Puss n Boots pirate)-- most glaring omission is solid oilive green (Hello, most cats had green/gold eyes. Not blue -- that's pretty rare)Personally, I would never put my adult cat into something that looks like a child's pajamas. Cats have dignity, you know!Anyway, I'm so glad we got this. So so glad. Now his tummy is healing really nicely!Oh, I was worried about patting him with a bulky velcro closure in the back. Good news! It's not velcro. They must have improved the design and forgot to update the listing. The closure in back is actually a very flat row of good snaps. Easy to pat. Won't pop open by mistake. EDIT: 0/10 The material that this is made of is not durable. My cat made holes in it and was able to lick the sore spot which was healing very well. I tried to sew the holes up but it kept ripping and I tried putting a patch on the area but that didnt work either. I wouldn't buy this productMy furbaby had a hot spot on his belly that became infected. He kept licking and irritating it, making it worse. Took him to the vet to get antibiotics and they suggested the cone of shame. Poor guy couldn't eat, drink, or be comfortable in the cone. Anyways I saw this online and figured it would be much easier on him, and still keep the wound protected. The material is similar to a tshirt, very breathable. Provides a barrier to his constant licking. Took a minute to figure out which way it goes on, but eventually got it right. The snaps go on top, along his back. I've been keeping an eye on him to make sure he cant somehow escape or get to his wound. It's not too snug that he cant walk or restrict movement and not too loose that he can escape. I was worried about getting the right size but Large seems to fit perfect for his body shape and measurements. He is much more cuddly and not as rambunctious while wearing it. We just got a new kitten and bought this in hopes it would work in place of those huge cones they send them home with after surgery. Kitty HATES it and tried to get it off at every chance she got but it never comes off and keeps her away from her stitches. They should offer these at all Vet's offices in place of that awful cone because it works even better. The only down side I have encountered is having to check her stitches on her belly means I have to mostly remove the outfit but I will take that as an issue any day of the week over her not being able to eat or use her litter box because of the cone.★★★★★★★★★By A Valdez
