So it's been a bit of journey for my cat in the past few months. She'd been licking her stomach raw, and after 3 trips to the vet for different steroids and a 500 dollar biopsy, they still couldn't come up with what, exactly, was causing the issue. Nice. After the biopsy she was giving stitches and an e-collar. Being a normal human being that showers and leaves my house for more than 15 minutes at a time - while unsupervised my cat managed to get the collar off and pull out the stitches. Super. I go back to the vet and she gets STAPLES this time, as well as a smaller cone that will be harder for her to remove. I leave for work that day, and I'm not kidding - she hadn't removed the cone, but had somehow managed to remove the staples. I then put the larger cone back on, and took a few days off from work to watch her like a hawk. This worked, but she was miserable, I was miserable, and I basically had to Jerry-rig her food and water dishes so she could eat and drink properly. Plus, food and litter were constantly getting stuck in and on her cone. It was gross and I could tell she was getting more and more depressed. I then called my vet up and she suggested a surgical recovery suit, and this was the only one I could find that sounded like it fit her size (SHE LONG and ~14lbs, I bought a large size). Literally, as soon as I took the cone off and put this on she started purring, and then cleaning herself for about an hour. She used the litter box with zero issues and has been much, MUCH more active than when she was wearing the cone. I check her stomach every morning and it's been looking SO much better. Fit well. Did a great job keeping spay incision covered and protected. Did not bind or interfere with movement. No interference with using litter box. Good shape design.Seams at cuffs however Started to come loose after 1.5 week of wear. Fabric is kinda thin and got holes where velcro was sewn on the back and had a little stress.
