There is no stretch to this cost. It is suppose to fit snug. We have used it a lot. My husband pulled the Velcro loose, but it was easy to fix with my sewing machine. We have washed it twice and it looks the same. I think our dog smiles when we put it on him.-------------Cynthia Hartley
My dog will go and stand next to the spot where we keep this coat and insist he wears it. It is super easy to put on with the velcro and adjustable. I've received so many compliments on it but most importantly it keeps him warm. My only complaint is that it is not totally water resistant and I'd love if it covered more of his belly than just the one strap. Love this coat. The color is vibrant and the material is so soft. My guy is pretty big. He's a german shepherd and weighs 140 pounds so i got the 9xl and it fits him perfect. He loves it too. Really like the pocket thats in the coat also. Perfect to carry letters in on our walk to the post office. Going to buy more in the other colors. Thank you from both of us.-------------cindy
