This cat-suit is fantastic! My cat had a cystotomy, so a vey large incision in her belly. She had her e-collar off in about 3 seconds. Luckily, I had already ordered this so slipped it on immediately. It does a fantastic job of keeping her wound covered so she can't get at it and it is great peace of mind for me. I don't feel like I need to keep her under constant supervision because I know she can't get the cat suit off!! Not only does it protect her belly, but I feel like it adds support to her incision--sort of like a bandage would. As another reviewer suggested, I used her body length, more then her weight to size the suit and it fit perfectly! Why these suits aren't given instead of the e-collar is beyond me!! Looked good from the photo. I ordered a L for my 12 pound cat with an 11" length. It fit her body but smashed her tail down. She usually prances the house all day with her tail sticking straight up. Once on, she crouched around and backed into the wall. The velcro strip is very stiff and long which seemed uncomfortable for her. Would not put her through that for 2 weeks! I returned it. Very easy process, thanks Amazon. I ended up making a collar out of a knee hi panty hose stuffed with 3 below ankle sports socks. It's lightweight, breathable cotton stuffing and allows full access to her food with complete mobility while preventing her reaching her stitches on her torso side.★★★★★★★★★By Mary Anne T.
I purchased this for my tiny foster kitten Cassidy. She hasn't left her spay incision alone since coming home from the vet and she wasn't able to function in a traditional e-collar, or inflatable "Donut" style collar. This arrived quickly thanks to Prime. It fits her tiny body well (I bought the X-Small), is easy to get on and despite what she thought initially, she can easily walk, run, climb and potty in this recovery suit.
